Next, I finished my project planning by creating and tuning my Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Gantt chart. I created the WBS using an Excel spreadsheet and it follows WBS rules - Hierarchy, Numbering, Mutual-Exclusivity. Work packages are appropriately named and estimated, with order and actual length indicated.

As for the Gantt chart, I ensured dates are correct, the sequence makes sense, and that there is a clear critical path. As aforementioned in the previous chapter 3, a risk management strategy and tracking plan are also required to ensure the project will not be affected by technical/general issues and can be kept on schedule respectively. By making an Impact/Probability matrix I was able to ensure all risks have a potential trigger, probability, clear impact, recovery and contingency plan.

Both the WBS and Gantt chart were vital in assisting in navigating and identifying the tasks that needed to be completed, as well with ensuring they were done on time to keep schedule. Weekly DevLogs were also paramount in summarising progress each week and easily showing my tutors time spent and updates on the project and FMP report

Finally another task to be done was to polish the Unity project for the vertical slice week 4 AE1 submission (this involved adding assets and particle effects to the map, and unique audio effects to biomes.
